Recent Near Miss Report:
A near miss report typically includes details about an incident that could have resulted in an injury or damage, but did not.
On Sunday June 22nd one of our members was playing bowls on the green. As they were stepping off the green they accidentally tripped on the wooden surround falling onto the slabbed area. Luckily no injury occurred, but on another occasion it could have easily resulted as a serious incident.
Action Taken:
None needed
Contributing factors:
Human Error by not paying attention
Preventive Measures:
Communicate the near miss and advise all members.
Fortunately, no injuries occurred as a result of this incident. However, it serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and vigilance when playing or moving around the green, and of the hazard of stepping on and off the green.
There are spare 'Near Miss' report forms, kept in the cupboard under the shelter.
